Family Therapy
I am a Licensed Family therapist and often use my training to give individuals a relationship perspective. We as human beings are relationship-oriented and are highly influenced (either negatively or positively) by the relationships in our lives. I also find that changes in families lead to changes in individuals. I use strategies and education related to communication to ensure families can develop more positive interactions.

‍Couples Counseling
‍In my couples work, I often use my skills using PACT couples therapy, EFT, and Gottman. I work with couples on attachment, security, trust, and communication techniques in order for couples to feel closer and more open with one another. I believe the more we learn to take care of our partners and learn about ourselves, the more influence and effective our communication can have.

I work with adults who often have been struggling for a long time and have decided to take the time to care for themselves and heal. Specific topics often include trauma or abuse, depression, anxiety, future/career, and relationship issues. I also work with parents to build confidence and explore/reflect on ways they want to feel and be within their relationship with their child.

In my professional career, I've received specific training and experiences with ages 9-18. I develop strong, warm, and trusting relationships with this age group as I believe this is necessary for change. I also encourage family therapy to build better communication and closer relationships. I have specializations in working with this age group and sexual abuse either past or recent. Often times, I use therapeutic interventions for emotion regulation,  healthy coping skills, and healthy relationships.

Having a child is a significant change mentally and physically. It effects our relationships with others and our mental health can take a toll. Also, individuals may experience trauma around the birth in some way and there are effective ways to process this trauma in healthy and supported ways. I completed my postpartum mental health training certificate with Postpartum Support International.

New Parent and Postpartum Group Summer 2024
‍This group is intended to provide moms a space to share and support one another. As the therapist I plan to offer guidance around topics including postpartum depression, self care/grounding practices, anxiety and coping skills around it, relationship and parenting help. In the first group we will discuss what feels the most important within different topics as I want this group to be a fit for you. I want to offer a space to create a community for moms that feels safe to share the ups and downs of parenting and life. I look forward to this group and hopefully can keep groups going on a continual basis!
Price: I want this to feel affordable, depending on level of interest I am hoping to charge $20-30 per group.
Location: I am hoping at least the first session is in person, we can as a group discuss whether virtual is an option we would like to have moving forward.
When: June-End of July. There will be a two week break for the first two weeks in July. Time: 10am-11am Tuesdays.
Commitment: I hope everyone can commit to the entire 6 weeks to keep this group feeling like a consistent community for everyone. I also understand things can happen so feel free to reach out if commitment is a barrier. Please email me or call for further questions or interest.
