About me

Let's get to know
each other

I'm Natalie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping couples, families (parents and teenagers), and individuals navigate the complexities of life. I understand that finding the right therapist can be challenging. That's why I am committed to offering a comfortable and honest environment where we can discuss your goals and work together to make therapy both helpful and effective for you. In our sessions, I offer a place to learn and develop tools and techniques that are research-based. Also, as a relationship-oriented therapist, I help couples and families improve their communication and build closer relationships. My goal is for you to leave every session with valuable insight.

My journey into therapy began with a passion for being curious about human relationships and the impact trauma has in our lives. I had a love for learning and observing others at an early age. After attending undergraduate school in Minneapolis MN I moved to Colorado and never wanted to leave. I graduated from Colorado State University in 2011 with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. After graduation, I have been practicing therapy in a variety of settings including a residential treatment facility for teenagers, a nonprofit for sexual abuse victims, hospitals, and schools. I also facilitated a couples workshop at Colorado State University using an evidence-based couples therapy model called Emotional Focused Therapy. My work in these settings highlighted the importance of a maintaining a healthy couple relationship especially when it comes to parenting. When parents feel aligned and supported by one another, the family system can feel more harmonious, enhancing the overall well being for both children and adults.

My approach is integrative combining evidence based techniques to fit the treatment for your own unique needs. I often incorporate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems. I am drawn to Acceptance Commitment Therapy as well which helps individuals embrace the broad range of emotions and thoughts and learn ways to have more of an observer mind toward them.  I have specific training in Synergetic Play Therapy which I use with teenagers as a way to teach regulation skills and I am a PACT level 2 trained therapist which I use with couples and families.

My Services

When i'm not in
the office

Aside from counseling, I enjoy spending time running, biking, painting, and being with my family. I recently started my parenting journey which has inspired me to become more trained and specialized in the area of postpartum and birth trauma. I’ve also adopted a greater understanding of what goes in the world of motherhood and want other moms to feel supported in their journey.
